Following the successfully organized Ljubljana European Open 2026, the Slovenian capital also hosted a three-day training camp, once again confirming its importance on the international judo calendar. Nearly 200 judokas from various countries gathered in Ljubljana, eager for high-quality training and further improvement after a demanding international competition.

The training camp took place at the Edvard Peperko Sports Hall over the course of three days, during which participants completed five intense training sessions. The focus was primarily on randori, tactical preparation, and adapting to different fighting styles, providing athletes with valuable experience against opponents of diverse technical and physical characteristics.

The atmosphere in the hall was hardworking and professional, yet also highly collaborative. Such training camps represent an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange, strengthening international sporting ties, and raising the overall quality of training to the highest level. Once again, Ljubljana has proven itself to be an important hub of European judo — not only competitively, but also organizationally and professionally.
