After claiming a bronze medal at the Senior European Judo Championships in Tbilisi, Metka Lobnik received a warm welcome on her return to Slovenia. She was first greeted at the airport by her family, coach and friends, before the celebrations continued in Maribor in front of her home club, JK Apolon Maribor.

To mark the success of the Slovenian judoka, family members, club representatives, coaches, athletes, friends, supporters and members of the wider judo community gathered in her home environment. Representatives of the local community and the Slovenian Judo Federation were also present at the reception.

The bronze medal from the European Championships is an important achievement for Metka Lobnik, her club and Slovenian judo. At the same time, it stands as recognition of years of dedicated work, perseverance and expert guidance, while also serving as an inspiration for younger generations of judoka.
